WHAT EXACTLY IS SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Semi-Permanent makeup is an innovative and revolutionary artistic technique. Also known as Microblading. This artistic enhancement consists of implanting natural pigments under the superficial layers of the skin. Using a small sterile micro-needle, the natural pigments are inserted between the dermis and the epidermis, creating a lasting cosmetic effect. This highly-skilled technique reflects a visual illusion where hair or color is missing in the following areas: eyebrows, eyeliner/or giving the look of fuller, thicker eyelashes. This technique is very useful in providing color in areas of the lips where natural coloring of the mouth area is missing.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Semi-Permanent make-up is exactly that Semi-Permanent! Your brows will fade over time and will need a touch-up every 6 to 18 months. Without a touch-up, the pigments will gradually fade away over the course of 3-5 years. The frequency of touch-ups depends on a number of factors including the pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster), lifestyle (sun exposure) if any chemical peels/acids/anti-aging and anti-acne products are used on the skin, and if you have had your eyebrows previously tattooed are some of these factors.
